Egy korábban légiutaskísérőként dolgozó amerikai nő, Shawn Kathleen is sok példát látott az utasok elképesztő igénytelenségére. Egy idő után már annyira idegesítették azok az undorító és zavaró szokások, amiket az emberek a repülőkön csinálnak, hogy elkezdett képeket gyűjteni róluk, hogy aztán megossza az interneten. Tizenegy évvel ezelőtt indította el Passanger Shaming (Utasok megszégyenítése) nevű Instagram-oldalát, amit már több mint 700 ezren követnek, és ahová már számtalan fotót töltött fel.
"Egyszerűen úgy éreztem, meg kell mutatnom, milyen őrült dolgok történnek a repülőkön. Sok képet kapunk arról, amit a terminálokon és a járatokon tapasztalnak az utasok vagy a dolgozók. Az emberek azt hiszik, azzal, hogy x összeget ráköltenek a repülőútjukra, feljogosítja őket arra, hogy úgy viselkedjenek, ahogy akarnak. De sajnos a repülő nem a nappalijuk, és nem is magánrepülőn utaznak, ez egy tömegközlekedési eszköz, szóval illene betartani az illemszabályokat"
- mondta a nő.
Elárulta, hogy a legrosszabb eset, amit látott, az volt, amikor látott egy férfit, akinek kigyulladt a haja, miután a vécében crack-kokaint szívott. De bőven akadtak még durva példák az igénytelenségre és az őrültségre a karfára feltett koszos lábaktól kezdve a mosdóban hagyott ürüléken és a zacskóban összegyűjtött vizeleten át.
