Nagyon sokat változott a sármos színész fénykora óta.
Hetvenedik születésnapját ünnepelte vasárnap Patrick Duffy, akit a Dallas című sikersorozat tett igazán híressé. Ő alakította a jóképű Bobby Ewingot, Jockey és Ellie Hewing fiát.
A színész a szappanopera futásának idején igazi szépfiúnak számított, rajongtak érte a nők. Ő azonban csak egy hölgyet szeretett, miután megházasodott: Carlyn Duffy két fiúval ajándékozta meg. Az asszony viszont két éve, hosszú betegeskedés után elhunyt, ami nagyon megviselte Duffyt.
A színész még ma is kap filmszerepeket, de a legtöbben még mindig Bobby Ewingként emlékeznek rá, pedig sokat változott már azóta.
